Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiana Mon’et.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have a l w a y s been fascinated with hair. From the look of it, to how it flows, to how was the style achieved, to what products were used, & so on & so forth. Hair had my attention since I was a little girl. I would try to do my own hair and eventually taught myself how to braid. I have always been the type of person to think, “If they could do it, I can do it too”. If it was able to be done, I knew I can do it. Without a doubt. This ambition is my drive to becoming a successful entrepreneur.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course, there’s many obstacles; Self-doubt, the lack of focus, & the struggle of life itself. I even dealt with a serious health condition, that stopped me from pursuing my college degree or anything altogether. However, deep down in my heart, I know God has a plan for me. He led me to cosmetology school, where I quickly graduated in 10 months. Throughout my journey to success, I learned to remain positive through my lowest days. My hardest times are preparing me for the greatest times in my life.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into K. Mon’et Collection story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a licensed hairstylist promoting healthy hair growth, which specializes in extensions and custom hair units. The K. Mon’et Collection is what I branded for my luxury hair units & products. Currently, K. Mone’t is focusing on medical hair units, which are natural, custom units for patients conquering hair & scalp conditions. I’m dedicated to giving each client the most natural unit possible, which will build their confidence and comfort with wig wearing. I truly appreciate the smile on my client’s face each time I finish doing their hair. I believe great hair is the catalyst of great self-esteem!
